WCBD Cool School Summer Camp Logo

WCBD is a news station in Charleston, SC; one of the many stations that MGFX provides graphics support for. "Cool School" one of the station's weekly segments, where they highlight different schools that provide an outstanding experience for their students.
I was tasked with creating a special logo for this segment, called "Summer Camp", where the Cool School segment would advertise local summer camps for the students to attend that year. I was instructed to create a logo that showed aspects of both summer and the camp experience. I immediately thought of water from a lake, and how I could interpret that creatively into a simple logo.
This project had a very tight turn around, but I was able to conceptualize, execute, and deliver the logo in 2 days. It was a great experience in simplifying a concept, as well as developing sharper skills in Adobe Illustrator.
